2010 Shanghai World Expo will be held from May 1-October 31, 2010 in the Pudong district, Shanghai.

2. What is the park opening time of the Expo?

The time of the Expo Park is open 9:30 to 22:30 every day during the Expo period.

3. What types of tickets to the Expo there?

Tickets for the Expo could be divided into two categories, group tickets and individual tickets.

Individual tickets can be subdivided into 7 types of entries: Pico on admission day, day of peak special admission, the admission standard of the day day, day of the special standard admission, 3 admission per day, 7 days ticket admission and admission night.

Group tickets may be classified into two types: Admissions and Student Group Admissions Group.

4. What are Peak Day and Day Standard?

Day Peak refers to the China Labor Day (1-3 May 2010), National Day (1-7 October 2010) and Exhibition Week Ending (25 to 31 October 2010), total 17 days.

Standard Day refers to all visitor days (167 days total) except for peak days during the Expo.

5. What are peak day tickets?

Peak Day tickets are designed to control the flow of visitors predicted peak days of the Expo by designating the dates, which limits the volume and price increases. Classified as only income and Admission Day Special.

6. If you visit dates printed on all tickets?

Visitor No date is printed on the tickets only on peak.

7. What if I have not visited the Expo on the date indicated by my peak day tickets?

If you do not visit the Expo on the dates printed on the peak day tickets, you can still visit the park of the Expo with their inputs during the standard day.

8. Who can buy special tickets for admission?

The following people with valid IDs can purchase special tickets for admission:

1. people with disabilities;
2. people born in or before 1950;
3. Students with valid ID;
4. children older than 1.2 m;
5. Chinese military personnel on active duty.

Warning: valid identification is required upon ticket purchase and entry, one entry per person, valid for one entry on the day of admission.

9. Who are free to enter the Expo Park?

The children, whose height is less than 1.2 meters are free to enter the Expo Park with accompanying adults.

10. "I can enter the Expo park several times a day through a 3-day ticket or a fine of 7 days?

No. You can choose from 3 days or 7 days (Is not the maximum period the day) to go to the Expo, only one entry per day.

11. Could 3 days or 7 days tickets may only be used by the buyer?

No. Ticket buyers or others may enter the Expo Park through 3 days or 7 days entries. But tickets for 3 days to allow three entries in three days (not the day of peak) in total tickets 7 days in 7 innings in 7 days (peak day).

12. Could the late Admission Tickets can be booked in advance?

No. To control the number of visitors, the night Admission Tickets only available from the Booking Office of the Shanghai World Expo Park. The other six types of individual tickets can be booked in advance through the Expo designated ticket outlets.

13. Is there a family ticket for Expo Shanghai?

No. There are no family tickets for the Expo.

14. Why Shanghai World Expo takes no call ticketing system and obtain the names of visitors printed on the tickets?

An estimated 70 million visitors go to the Shanghai World Expo. In order to facilitate the process of booking tickets, World Expo Shanghai Committee decided not to adopt the real name ticketing system.

15. Can a visit ticket holder for all park pavilions of the Expo?

Yes, based on the conventions of the World Expo, ticket holders can visit all the pavilions of the Expo Park, with the exception of some special arrangements made by the organizers of the Expo.

16. Can visitors enter the Expo several times a day through the tickets one day?

No. One of the visitors can only enter the Expo for once in one day through a one-day ticket.

17. If the covered food in the Expo tickets?

The food in the Expo Park No. require additional charges.

18. Do people can purchase group tickets for themselves?

Group entries are designed to encourage visits organized and balance the flow of visitors. Tickets are not available to individuals. Group tickets can be booked through travel agency designated by the Expo Organizing Committee, Student Group Tickets may be purchased through authorized travel agencies or training institutions or organizations.

19. How could foreign visitors book tickets for Shanghai Expo?

20. Could the Expo will be returned or exchanged tickets?

Expo tickets will not be returned or exchanged once purchased. Visitors must read the instructions carefully Expo ticket before buying.

All I could do is buy another ticket. No refund or compensation for your lost ticket. So you must take good care of your ticket after purchase.

Visiting Tips

1. Visitors must have a valid passport or identification with them as valid identification is required at the entrances.

2. Visitors need to get off the bus at a designated parking area and walk to the door of the Expo. Electric cars are limited and are available only for VIP visitors. The park covers an area of 5 square kilometers and about 400,000 daily visitors enter the park.

3. Seven innings as the water was opened for the admission of visitors. Beside the door of the Expo on the ground, visitors can enter the Expo Park water through channels by taking the ferry from the Expo.

4. Visitors are prohibited from carrying bottled drinks in the park.
